Marketing with Filipino SEO’s

So over the last year I have tried to find SEO’s in developing nations that my parents are from – India and the Philippines. One of the reasons I was looking for Filipino SEO’s was because they are cheaper. It turns out that the Philippines has an active Filipino SEO market.

I did a Google search and found http://forums.seo.ph/ and posted an ad up. To my surprise several Filipino SEO’s replied and I currently have two working for me. I understood that employing Filipino SEO’s was risky.

They can take your money and not do what you ask or what they say. After all the Filipino SEO’s are from different time zones and really far away. You will probably never meet them. I decided the risk outweighed the potential reward since the cost monthly cost for Filipino SEO’s is relatively low.

However, it still pisses me off that one Filipino SEO ripped me off. Her name was Angel Lim or Anna Ida or something like that. I employed her for two months and gave her two months pay. That Filipino SEO would not respond to many of my e-mails and she would agree to do what I asked. The fact that she did not communicate well should have been a red flag to me after the first month. You must make sure that the Filipino SEO communicates well. In the end, Anna Ida did not do work for me. Another SEO that charged too much in proportion to while Filipino SEOs make and was also unsatisfactory. He did some work but never did what I asked.

These two Filipino SEOs that I have working for me currently, Oliver and Snow, are pretty good. Oliver reports to me. Snow reports to Oliver. I chat with Oliver every day. He gives me ideas and I tell him what to do when I have ideas. He seems to do it. They send progress reports almost every day outline what they have done. I pay them bi-weekly.

One thing that you cannot confirm is if the Filipino SEO put in the amount of hours they claim. All I can do is confirm that they work based on the materials they send and chats we have.

Oh, shame on Angel Lim and Anna Ida, someday they would get what’s best for them, like a bad karma or something.

But seeing other Filipino workers on the flip side, there are still worth putting trust on, just like any other group of people, there are good ones and there are “unacceptables”, it is always depends upon the environment where they grew up and how their parents leads them as they grow. There are still a lot of them working honestly, efficiently and effectively.
