| Interests and Experience | Received the Foreign Policy Association Medal. As President of the American Red Cross she visited Kuwait following the Gulf war to asses Red Cross services provided to military personnel. In December 1992, Mrs. Dole visited Red Cross relief operations in Somalia, Mozambique, and Croatia. She also led a Humanitarian Relief Delegation to Rwanda refugee camps in former Zaire in 1994. Some of her current international interests include her efforts to eradicate worldwide polio and support for religious freedom rights in Vietnam. |
