| Organization Description | Public Allies (PA) advances diverse young leaders to strengthen communities; nonprofits and civic participation. Each year; we recruit 25-30 young adults (ages 18-30) for a leadership apprenticehip. For four days each week; Allies work in a local nonprofit organization; one day a week; they come back to the PA offices for training in the core values of integrity; asset-based community development; continuous learning; collaboration and diversity. |
| Project Opportunity | We need help thinking about a strategic plan for low-cost visibility raising. We would like some help thinking about and learning about where and to whom we are known in Chicago; whether that knowledge is largely positive or largely negative; and from those data; what we can do to be more seen; known; understood and appreciated. We need a plan that can be implemented by a small staff with a small Advisory Board--something with a long term vision but short-term "wins" we can achieve over the next few months. Some clever ideas for visibility would be most helpful. And; if we dare, how to mend any negative connotations we discover obtain out there in the world." |
